To block a phone number or email and prevent future review requests, go to the Block List settings on your Contacts page and click the block list icon.
The Block List panel will open, showing all customers who have unsubscribed from your emails. You can also manually add phone numbers and emails.
To add a new contact to the block list, click the Add button and enter the customer’s details to stop future review requests from being sent.
Note: If a customer is part of an active campaign or has a scheduled request, those requests will be stopped once they’re added to the block list.
To remove a customer from the block list, open the menu and select “Remove from block list.”
Customers who have unsubscribed from your emails will appear with a red icon.
To re-subscribe them to your emails, click the menu icon and select "Remove from block list".
Reminder: These customers have explicitly unsubscribed from your email review requests. Removing them from the block list will allow them to receive review requests again. Make sure you have their permission before re-adding them.
Additional ways to add customers to the block list:
From the Contacts tab:
If the customer already exists in your Contacts page, click the menu icon and select “Add to Block List.” A red icon will appear next to any contact method that is blocked.
Block contacts in bulk:
To add multiple contacts at once, select them and click the “Add to Block List” button from the menu bar.
Block List Settings
To manage how blocked customers are handled when sending review requests, go to your Block List settings in the Business Settings page.
You can also quickly access it by clicking the gear icon in the Manage Block List panel.
By default, TrueReview skips sending review requests if any contact method is blocked.
For example, if a request includes both a phone number and an email—and the phone number is blocked—the entire request will be skipped, including the unblocked email.
To send requests to unblocked contact methods only, uncheck this option in your Block List settings. This way, if the phone number is blocked but the email isn’t, the email will still be sent (and vice versa).
