A Zapier account
We’ll use Zapier Webhooks to send customer contact details from Vagaro to TrueReview whenever a project is completed or the sale stage is updated.
Create a Zap in Zapier
Log in to your Zapier account at zapier.com.
Click Create Zap.
For the Trigger step, search for and select Webhooks by Zapier.
Choose Catch Hook as the trigger event.
Copy the generated Webhook URL—you’ll need this when setting up the automation in Vagaro.
Under the Setup tab, choose “Catch Hook” as the Trigger Event from the dropdown menu.
Click Continue, then under Your Webhook URL, click Copy to copy the URL.
Save the URL for later use in the Vagaro automation.
Configure your Webhook in Vagaro:
Go to Settings → Developers → APIs & Webhooks.
In the Webhooks tab, select Create Webhook.
Enter a Name for your webhook.
Enter the Webhook Endpoint URL from from Step 5 of Zapier setup (the URL you copied when adding a webhook step).
Choose the Webhook Event Types that will trigger the webhook:
Appointments: Get notified when appointments are booked or modified.
Customers: Stay informed when a new customer is created or when existing customer details are updated.
Transactions: Receive updates when new transactions are processed.
Form Responses: Capture data when a form is completed.
Select the Location(s) that will trigger the webhook.
Select Create Webhook.
Test and Configure TrueReview step
Now return to Zapier and click Test Trigger. Before testing, make sure Vagaro sends data by creating a sample customer or selecting an existing customer to mark as completed, or whatever you chose as your trigger.
Once marked complete, go back to Zapier and click Test Trigger. You should see a new customer record appear in the results.
Next, add the Action step. Search for and select TrueReview.
Click into the Action step and choose one of two options:
Create Contact to add the customer’s information to your TrueReview contacts page. You can then select them later to send a request.
Create Request to immediately send a review request to the customer.
Connect your TrueReview account by signing in and selecting your business.
Next, link the contact information from the webhook and Vagaro. Click the plus icon and search for Primary.
Map the following fields:
Client Primary Contact Email
Client Primary Contact Full Name
Client Primary Contact Phone Number
