At TrueReview, our goal is to simplify the review request process and make it as easy as possible for every customer—happy or unhappy—to leave a review, share feedback, or contact the business directly.
While we guide customers toward the best path for their experience, we always keep a public review within reach. Even when someone begins down the feedback path, the "Leave a review" button remains available at the top of the page, linking directly to your review sites. This is intentional: removing that button is not an option, because doing so would amount to review gating—steering unhappy customers away from public reviews and locking them into private feedback.
Review gating violates Google's policies and undermines the trust that makes reviews valuable in the first place. By keeping the "Leave a review" button visible to everyone, we ensure that any customer who wants to leave a public review can always do so—whether they arrived at the feedback path intentionally or by accident.
The "Leave a review" button stays at the top of the feedback screen, so a public review is always one tap away.
Why ask for feedback?
Honest feedback is crucial for businesses to improve their operations. Giving customers an easy way to share long-form feedback opens the door to insights they wouldn't feel comfortable posting publicly.
