How can I check if a review violates Google's policy?

You can enable Review Radar to automatically check your incoming Google reviews for potential policy violations.

For existing Google reviews, you can also manually scan any review you believe may violate Google’s policies. Review Radar will analyze the review and provide guidance based on potential policy violations detected.

To enable automatic Review Radar scanning for incoming Google reviews:

  1. Go to the Review Radar section

  2. Toggle Review Radar on

To manually scan a review for potential Google policy violations:

  1. Click the Manage button next to the review

2. Click Scan Review at the top of the page

Review Radar will then analyze the review and provide its findings.

If the review does not appear to contain clear policy violations, you will see a notification indicating that no obvious violations were detected. However, you can still submit the review to Google for removal if you believe the review is invalid or violates Google’s policies.

If a review appears to contain clear policy violations, you will see the suggested violation category along with an explanation of why the review may violate Google’s review policies.
